Hi.
I’m a writer, translator, and scholar of religion. I have a PhD from Harvard University, and have written for places like Jewish Currents, Boston Review, and Lapham’s Quarterly. I currently teach with the Bard Prison Initiative and at Hunter College and live with two pitbulls (one dog, one human).
Some things I’ve recently and semi-recently published: a conversation with Rabea Eghbariah; an essay on Daniel Boyarin’s diaspora nation; a history of Germanically loving your mothertongue.
This is my email address: jcacohen@gmail.com.
